Deceased March 2015. Teased me about why I was coordinating the 40th, since she didn't remember me and my picture wasn't in the yearbook. I remembered her. Beautiful girl, great sense of humor, and wanted to attend 40th. Cheered me on. I was so hoping she'd make this one!
I saw Laurie on and off since High School Graduation. She moved to Boca Raton right after high school. She had two beautiful children, Michael and Katie. (Michael passed away a few years ago) Katie is doing fabulous fashion in Florida and has a cool blog. In 2013, she discovered she had lung cancer and fought bravely and optimistically. During her last months, Jill Tangus, Belinda Wunch and Rhonda Briseno came to visit her. I went to Florida just 5 days before she passed. Laurie could still laugh and was razor sharp up until the end. I miss her every day.
