Deborah L. (McCormack) Terry, age 63, died March 29, 2016. Deborah was born on October 13, 1952 in Newark, Ohio, to the late Clyde and Susan (Haslop) McCormack. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest F. Terry; uncle, Gerald R. Haslup; grandmother, Lillian C. Haslop. She is survived by step son, Phillip R. Terry and many great friends too numerous to mention. A lifelong dog lover, Deborah volunteered for animal rescue groups and is survived by her beloved dogs Charlie, Lola and Harry. Predeceased by dogs Sullivan and Gilbert. Deborah had a variety of careers in her life, including positions at the Rotary Club headquarters (Evanston, IL), WSMV television (Nashville, TN), the environmental field (Columbus, OH), and various teaching jobs in more recent years. Deborah earned BAs in psychology and education from Wittenberg University and an MA in early childhood education and special education from The Ohio State University. Deborah would like to thank her many friends for visiting during her illness, and would especially like to thank Niki, Ann, Nicole, Tiffany and Bob for their help during her illness. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, where friends may gather from 9:30 AM until time of the service. Interment at Flint Road Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio, will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stop the Suffering, 3061 London Hollow Road, Newark, Ohio 43055.
