Albert "Peter" Gibbs was a great guy who came into our lives when we jumped into Skiles in September, 1964. It was obvious from the beginning he was blessed with a smoothness and talent in any athletic activity he got involved in. He had a big smile with a hearty laugh when there was something that brought out that side of him. As things progressed at ETHS, he showed he could light things up whether it was football, basketball, track or baseball.Off the playing field, he was a great friend and in later years, was known for his flair for fashion when he showed up at Reunions with a smart looking outfit and often, a hat that complimented his style.
I will remember him as a buddy who told it like it was when I cornered him and asked about the realities of what it was like to be a part of some great athletic teams while at ETHS. Thanks for the memories, Peter.
