The website was informed that Carol passed away in June, 2021 of pancreatitis.
I remember her as one of our classmates at Timber Ridge in Skokie. We were the first class to attend all 7 years (Kindergarten through 6th grade) at the newly opened school.
I am totally shocked and saddened to hear the news of Carol's death. We became friends our junior year after I crashed her sweet 16 party and have remained friends ever since. She was an excellent writer, loved to garden and cook. She was a great dog lover and always had a beloved pet. I visited her after our last reunion and expected to visit her after this upcoming one. You will be missed.
Debbie I tried to call you on the number Carol had in her computer for you. But no answer. I wanted to reach ilyne lien and Jan good now and the gang but did not have phone numbers🌈>
I am so sorry to hear about Carol. She was a terrific member of the Evanstonian staff 1969-1970 - always helpful, eager, and as I recall capable of speaking up and adding much to the process. I see she then went on to a career that included writing, which is no surprise. Hearing about her brings up many good memories even as she is mourned.
There's not much I remember from 1963 but I do remember being invited to and attending a "Beatles" party which Carol had. She was on the cutting edge, the first Beatles fan (that I knew about anyway). I am sad to hear of her passing, wish I could have stayed in touch, and hope she is in a better place. Thanks, Carol, for inviting me to your party. RIP

I'm so sorry to hear this. I didn't know Carol in high school, but she reached out to me a few times about the reunion and I enjoyed talking to her.
