Lisa and I were very best friends along with Babs, Beth, Abigail, Kathy M., Kathie G., Linda F., Nancy P. and Patti T. She had the nickname of Mons ( mona lisa ) and big brown eyes with an infectious smile and laugh.
We miss you Lisa! Remember sneaking out at night, just to get away with it. Hardest part was sneaking back in without getting caught! Miss all the laughs! Wish you were here.
I LOVED LISA. We grew up together on Asbury Ave and I joined her at Evanston sophomore year. She was part of the most popular group for sure -very cool. We were so close and even ended up going to Arizona together and had lots of adventures! She was fearless.. Life is so sad the way you loose touch. A funny note ....she faked my 1st drivers licence test for me to be sure I would pass. What a great friend!
Lisa was a LOT of fun! Went to many, many parties with Ann and Lisa. Senior year was a blast with those two. I was so sorry to hear of hear of her passing.
I viisted Lisa when she was at Northern Arizona State University in Flagstaff AZ. On a lark, I drove my 1963 Rambler from Boulder, CO to see her one weekend in 1972. As soon as i arrived, it started snowing. After a couple of hours, the state patrol said that the interstate was going to be closed, making it impossible to get out of town, possibly for days. So, after seeing Lisa for all of 20 minutes, i left town after being forced to buy chains for my tires because of the snow. Less than two hours later, i was out of the mountains, having missed my chance to spend some quality time with Lisa. Oh, and i had a $50 pair of snow chains that i didn't want or need. Two days later, i made it back to Carbondale with a case of Coors in my trunk. To be young, restless and in college!!
